Sorry, don't really know where to put this one and too tired to figure it out. I am transfering music from vinyl to digital. I am using Audacity, which is an okay program, but I need something better. Mainly, I need something more robust for removing pops and clicks. Does anyone have any suggestions for good programs for that? Thanks!
I use that feature. It works okay a little, but does not get everything, or even most stuff. So I was looking for a more robust program. Doesn't have be free, or cheap, I'm not paying for it.
Sony Sound Forge is another program I've used in the past. It's much more advanced than Audacity. I didn't use the noise reduction feature, but it's a program you might want to research. It's a free 30 day trial so you don't have anything to lose if it doesn't work for you.
Depending on how intense the pop is you may not be able to completely take it out. I've used Ableton for this....it's very easy. Although, you may get over-obsessed and spend hrs trying to delete every lil pop! I'm assuming you use some sort of interface to transfer the music from phono to digi, so try a trial version of LIVE first. You won't be able to save, but you can see how it works for ya. good luck!
