How to keep Facebook from ruining Instagram

Unfortunately the price of that FB stock is that they probably have to stay with FB for awhile. I actually feel bad for them now if the deal seems like what it is. They don't get shit for a few years, and have to suffer through working for Facebook.

They will all be rich beyond their wildest dreams. You have to remember that less than a week before Facebook bought them, Instagram was valued at $500,000,000. Zuckerberg paid double that and the stock portion of the deal makes it even richer.

Zuckerberg has been trying to hire some of those guys for years and was throwing money at them. They will now receive massive salaries and will continue to run Instagram while awaiting a payoff that is far more than they could have gotten even by waiting a few years. Everyone wins in this deal.

I have a blackberry and have never seen anything regarding instagram. THen again i don't download stupid apps at all. Only app's i have are facebook and my running app. I don't have twitter or iTunes or anything like that. I use it for work and texting. And the occassional phone call. LOL

But anyways, Facebook is making claims of running Instagram as a separate division of sorts. Again, at a smaller scale, I've been through it. The whole purpose of buying Instagram was to shut down a burgeoning threat. The smart thing for the Instagram guys to do is to enjoy the ride, start buffering their resources, and exit stage left at the earliest opportunity that affords them the ability to cash in their shares. Long-term, Instagram will merely be a module within Facebook.

BB's aren't blessed with Instagram. Was originally just IPhones and now they opened up the Android market a week or two ago.

It's because developing anything but a basic app for the BB is a horrendous exercise due to limited APIs and horrendous developer support from RIM. We were gonna do a BB app for Venue Driver but we ended up saying "fuck it" and telling people just to put a link on their home screen.

The time of the BB has long passed. It's an iOS/Android world now.

I love Instagram. For makeup, I love the filters and how it allows me to instantly see how lighting can affect or distort the way it looks.

I, too, have a Blackberry because my I-phone is 4s and a British locked unit. The BB has the worst mobile camera, has to be said.

Norah, you can unlock your 4s with either a Gevey or a GPP Team chip. Google for either of them.

Agree - my boyfriends droid takes amazing pics. BB is OK if you are up close... other than that, its a waste.
