ESPN pulls Asian-American announcer because his name is Robert Lee

There's also a comedian named Bobby Lee. Great guy actually.

He's probably getting death threats.

Re: Charlottesville, Virginia...

Nope.

Remember, there were something like 50 candidates running for POTUS in 2016. Freedom means you can pick from those, or write in your own. Or not even vote.
Truth be told, in a federal election, I have never, ever, voted for a Republican or Democrat for the office of President of the United States. One would think I sympathize with Republicans a bit more than Democrats, and in some cases that's true, but in most cases, I recognize R's for just being Democrats with a different deodorant.

I'll vote the line Libertarian or independent, and for lower offices I'll pick "L" when possible, and usually abstain if I don't have that option, or vote for someone who may be major party but aligns close to the "L" platform.

In the cases of voting on referendums, laws, and other things like that, the LP at a national and local level always publishes a guidebook on what is beneficial to the ethos and is of great help. Sometimes those referendums are so layered in legal nonsense that you need an attorney to help you vote.

Also, Ballotpedia is your best friend in any election.

Gary Johnson, of course. Even then he wasn't truly ideal. I felt he wasn't decisive enough on foreign policy. Which in the case of the LP, it's really simple "Don't fuck with us, we won't fuck with you..."

However, he was a late-stage defector from the Republicans to the LP, and probably still had some hawkish tendencies left over in his blood. That being said, I do believe it's actually for the better - mainstream pols dropping out of the major parties and going third party only help third parties in the long run. While stalwarts like Harry Browne (RIP) and Bob Barr may have been truer to the platform, no one outside of garden-variety loons like yours truly even know who those people are.

Nevermind the fact that even most Libertarians can't name an LP politician beyond whomever ran for President. I feel bad for folk like Adrian Wyllie and so forth.

Larry Sharpe for New York gov if any of y'all are up that way.
