That's not what I said at all, but I see how I might have been unclear. Pay your people a decent wage, is what I said.

Also, if you really want a meritocracy where you pay people according to the value they create, you need to reform from the top down, not the bottom up, otherwise you are just a lazy, lying hypocrite.

(EDIT: to be clear, that's "you" general, not "you" specific.)

The people at the top who get paid a lot are already under the closest scrutiny about how much value they deliver and whether they're worth it.

Even more interesting about Trumps claims that he will bring jobs back from overseas. Most Americans who lost jobs to competition did so to automation, not overseasing. Not to say there weren't a lot of jobs that were shipped overseas, there certainly were, but that's not where most of them went.

It's hopeless unless Trump has a plan for convincing kids to learn about things like backpropagation and LSTM. If those jobs continue to go overseas then the US will definitely be screwed.

Wow neat.

It's unclear if that machine is a burger assembly device, or a dispenser for pre-assembled burgers.

When asked how exactly this will be pulled off, we received the following response via Vincent Spadea, local McDonald’s owner/operator, “We can’t give away all the secrets, but fresh Macs will be constantly loaded into the machine to ensure a high quality experience."

And where would kids learn that, exactly? Is it a required class in public schools?

There's this thing called the internet. It has a search engine, I think it's called Google. The sum of human knowledge is contained in this medium.

They may not teach it in school, but I do know they teach internet basics these days.

Furthermore, parents need to be involved in their children's education as well. They shouldn't expect the State to satisfy that need.

Case in point, myself. They didn't teach me 3D-printing in high school or college. So I'm learning it. I didn't know fuck-all about Node.js until a few weeks ago. Now I know a few things about it. Because I looked those topics up.
