This is one way to get your approval ratings up and distract Americans from the whole Russia fiasco.

I thought it was a brilliant strategy by his team

Nothing shows Russian collusion like bombing Russian interests.

Nothing surprises me about this Administration. Maybe Russia green lighted and coordinated the airstrike with the Trump Administration.

Funny how no Russians were killed or hurt during the airstrike. The airfield happens to be the main hub used by the Russian Military in Syria.

Best way to quiet the storm is to start a war with Syria/Assad and start the tough talk on Russia (wink, wink Putin).

I'm just hoping for an airburst 50km above Damascus.

Definitely. Putin should have let a few get killed to really sell it.

Breaking news! It was Putin who masterminded the whole thing to make his best friend Trump look good in the polls! Seriously, the attack was ordered by Russia! Because MSNBC says so....LOL....

In between bong rips in their mom's basement and bitching on Facebook 24/7, MSNBC's viewership pauses for a moment and actually considers that plausible.

Because racism.

Re: Obama not seeking UN approval to attack Syria

It strikes me as incredibly bizarre to have Assad use chemical weapons against the rebels or even ISIS.

Looking back in time a bit however, Saddam Hussein did the same thing in 1988 - only he killed 10,000 people in a single incident as opposed to a few hundred, and nothing really came of it for him. Perhaps Assad was just trying to take a page out of his book - Saddam ruled Iraq for another 22 years before he was finally hanged for unrelated crimes.

This doesn't seem very plausible given the current situation and my admittedly limited knowledge of Assad doesn't make him seem quite so far out on the insane, ruthless dictator spectrum.

If ISIS had the capability, this move certainly does seem like it would be in their best interests, provided their biggest threat is the Syrian military, and not the rebels they are simultaneously fighting.

The more adamant someone is about having found clear-cut and concise reasoning behind anything that goes on in modern-day Arab and Muslim conflicts, the less likely I am to believe them.

What a clusterfuck.

Yep.

There's no clear battle lines or positions over there. Everyone in the region is at least somewhat of an asshole.
