Those little camera's are great. They are being used everywhere these days from Stunts to Events.

I am really tempted into getting one.

I like what I have seen so far esp that Keys photo. Never know about Octopress.

Octopress is great so far. Now, it's not really meant for the casual blogger. You need to compose your posts by hand in a text editor and push it via git to Heroku.

However, because there's no CMS or "backend" per se, it is very flexible from a design standpoint.

Plus, it is all open-source so if Octopress as a brand ever goes away, I still have the code and I could continue on if I so desired, to the point of even modifying it to do what I wanted specifically.

What is the benefit of Octomom vs other blogging platforms? Looks the same to me.

Also, it was lagging a bit, might want to check your resources.

It lags on occasion because it's running on a Heroku dyno, which takes a moment to come up when you first hit it.

I can spool up more dynos if there's a real demand.

The main benefit of Octopress is that it's very simple and extensible. I have the source so I could in theory morph it into a "Podopress" if I felt like it. I don't have to wait for WP to come out with plugins, I can write my own if needed.

Octo isn't really meant for the casual blogger by far, it's more meant for people who are more at home in a text editor than a full GUI. I rather enjoy the simplicity, since the point of my blog is my content and not a bunch of pretty widgets.

The funny thing is, it came pre-packaged with the basic sharing tools.
