I don't know about you guys, but this is the trend that I have noticed on FB and it is beyond sickening. I have been back on this stupid fucking Facebook thing for a few days and it seems that every post in my News Feed is either about these 2 subjects or DJ's trying to justify why they are cool and relevant.

...and not to mention the "classy" tattoos that these "village bicycle" bitches get. I mean, really? Are your creative juices flowing so freely that you decided to get a tattoo of some Chinese scripture on the small of your back?

Social networking on the personal level is basically the manifestation of the person's ego. It's not about "keeping in touch with friends", it's about showing off what you are doing to arouse envy in your social circle. It's like these people who accept/make friend requests of people they hate, they do this so they can show off and rub their noses in whatever fact is at hand. And for these women, being pregnant is that fact. Now, I'm not opposed to them having children, it's their decision, not mine, but yes, sometimes you wonder about whether some of them are fit to be a parent.

I can name off a good several hand full of chicks here (where i live) who are single mommys and out getting FUBAR every weekend while stashing the love of their life kids off with their parents/grandparents every Friday-Sunday... then on Monday they come back to FB to post adorable pics of their kids (like they actually give a fuck about them) - It's all a front to show the world that they are a responsible mommy.

In the meantime, they are trying to sell a pyramid scheme fat burning wrap to make it look like they are also working hard with their free time.

It's sickening.

Not all single moms are like that, but a lot are. I know one single mom who actually took the step of removing herself from the Miami area so she would have the time and environment to focus on raising her child right.

That being said, yes, I see what you are talking about a lot. I've been personally involved with a few girls (for one night stands, etc) where after the fact, I get the "news" that they have a kid. Back in my bad old days of course.

It is what it is, no harm no foul at that moment, but it is a bit disconcerting.

It's ironic that when you bitch about the stupidity on social media, you're actually calling yourself stupid. Since social media is unique to each person based on their interests.

For the most part, yes. However, that being said, I have noticed that on Facebook I suddenly have quite a few fan pages I certainly never remember liking that are appearing in my newsfeed. It's actually a documented issue right now happening to a lot of people. FB is notorious for changing and adding features without the user's informed consent.

More and more I see the appeal in Twitter. Though I wonder about their longevity since they still haven't figured out how to pay for it all.
