Re: Junior Seau Dead

Suicide...he's the 7th guy from AFC Championship team to die before 45.

That's crazy.

Re: Junior Seau Dead

I am shocked about the news. People are already claiming that due to concussions this caused him to commit suicide.

But, it seems to me that he was just a father distraught with the fact that he has kids and doesn't have have custody of them. It had been 3 weeks, since he last saw them. The guy is divorced, things with his ex-gf didn't work out.

It comes across as depression but I am certainly mute on why he committed suicide.

Re: Junior Seau Dead

I feel bad for his kids...acts like this in a childs life really puts them at so much risk for drugs, crime and evewn suicide themselves....no matter how depressed I could get I could never ever take my own life. I love my son too much to put him through something like that and I love being in his life. Sucks for those kids and sad for Junior he was obviously battling a lot of demons.

Re: Junior Seau Dead

I don't recall Seau having documented concussions when he played, but as such an aggressive LB he could have rattled his brain quite a bit.

Posthumous HOF in 2015.

Re: Junior Seau Dead

Well this guy partied non-stop all the time and I know this because I'm friendly with one of his neighbors actually. They told me they felt terrible and that he was a really nice guy, he talked to them all the time when walking his huge pitbull. But they did tell me he had parties all the time and there was always beer cans and booze outside of his house from all the parties.

I find it extremely selfish to end your life when you have kids and i really feel bad for his family and close friends... its a shame he didn't seek help if he was that damn depressed.

Re: Junior Seau Dead

this isnt concussion related, and even if it was...its totally worth it, don't think so?
ask a current or former player if they didn't know what they were risking, they all say the same thing: 100 percent worth it.
