Obama looked Extremely Confident Last Night, GOP not so Much

The Republicans looked scared, lost, and worried.

For the GOP to paint Obama so badly why are things going so well for the President and why is he so confident?

Why does the GOP look so worried and lost if they think Obama is such a bad President? Boehner looked like he did not know when to clap or when to not clap. His eyes kept scanning the GOP members in a worried way.

I do not see any Republican beating Obama.

Rich people = Evil, Bad People

Also, did anyone notice for a good two hours after his speech nobody could discuss it on Facebook? Facebook was deleting posts - now that's some scary shit.

They're scared because they're pushing a narrative that's just not true. Numbers and facts are hard things to deny.

The truth is the truth. The economy is better today than when Barry took over. That's just a fact. For the Republicans to keep trying to say otherwise is just silly because people can see the reality for themselves. We've had 22 straight months of job growth.....yet, they keep saying it's not true. I don't understand their strategy at all.

I'm looking for someone else to vote for this coming election but.......who?

Romney and Gingrich are just both such pieces of shit. Neither can tell the truth about anything. Ron Paul? He won't be there in November.

The Republicans have one bullet in their economy gun.....tax cuts. But, we've tried that and it doesn't work. Mitt's paying 13% and hasn't created a single job with his money. How low should we make it so he can create a job? It's insanity.

If Obama was white, he would win in a landslide.

What Obama said in his speech yesterday was exactly what the people been saying and been wanting to hear from a politician for years now.

We have a congress that is broken in this country and the special interest basically influences both sides of the isle on issue's. It seems everything the President wants to do is either not done or done half ass. Its ridiculous.

I am telling you its a waste of tax payer money to even have an election this year.

Re: Obama looked Extremely Confident Last Night, GOP not so Much

The only problem I am having right now is that it is still very expensive to manufacture goods in this country.

We are the busiest we have ever been in the history of our business. Sure, the majority of our work is going to New Orleans for rebuilding and tornado work in North Alabama and the Gulf Coast is blowing up because of the oil spill (yup, I know sounds weird huh but true) but it is still very expensive to do what we do.

I about fell out of my chair last night when Obama actually talked about this. Will he deliver on his word? NO, but at least he now admits the importance of manufacturing goods in this country and how the regulations that HE signed that have been put in place has made it almost impossible for job growth and profits in the manufacturing sector.

This is the second time you've mentioned this but, you're wrong, (as usual).

Recently released data shows that the cost of manufacturing goods in America and delivering them to market has actually fallen in the last year. That's right, Icon, the data shows that you're dead wrong.

I asked you the last time you mentioned this to tell me exactly, specifically what you were babbling about and all you could do was come up with nonsense. If your business is doing more volume and making less, I hate to tell you but you're the problem.

What regulations has the President signed that inhibit business or manufacturing in the USA? Don't tell me about what he hasn't done or any of the other talking points. You mentioned specific legislation that he has signed and I want to know what you are talking about because no other Republican seems to be able to answer that question.

Can you also tell me how reducing the taxes of Mitt Romney or Warren Buffet is going to create jobs?

I am not getting into a pissing match with you over this. I have already discussed how things have sharply increased over the past few years and gave you examples. I don't have time to discuss this with someone who does not have a fucking clue about manufacturing products. You have never been in the industry so it is a waste of my time.

Re: Obama looked Extremely Confident Last Night, GOP not so Much

Come on!

If it wasn't for 60 Minutes outing Obama for not prosecuting a SINGLE banker he would have never called for a special unit, a unit that will never go anywhere as congress doesn't support yet ANOTHER bureaucracy. The laws on the books are enough to arrest these bankers yet Obama's team did nothing and now he has to save face.

Then if it wasn't again for 60 minutes the insider trading would have never come up. Did Obama call for this law when he was in the Senate? How about year 1? Year 2?

All I heard last night was spend, tax breaks, spend, tax breaks, spend spend spend.

The two trillion debt number is a fucking crock of shit, it's over 10 years but he just asked for another increase up to 16 trillion. So we are going to save 2 over 10 but add way more over that ten.

And the Buffet rule is a crock of shit. The facts are simple if you taxed the 1% at 100% it would not even make up for our budget shortfall just for this year!

Why has he waited over 3 years to open up more land for drilling? Why no mention of the fucking pipeline when there is already 50,000 miles of pipeline in the US?

So......the real answer is that you just think it's his fault but you have no actual legislation to point to. You're the perfect Republican!

You believe what they tell you on Rush Limbaugh and Fox News but you don't care that the numbers say you're wrong or that you don't actually know of any laws that are hurting you. You're even willing to repeat this silliness as fact! You're their perfect foot soldier.

Your business has INCREASED but YOU can't figure out how to make money? That's not because of Obama. That's because you people don't know what you're doing. I have a very close friend who is in the commercial glass business and is much bigger than your company. They tell me that business is great and that they can barely meet the demand. They are making a fortune. Sorry, Pal, your story makes no sense.

Here are some facts.....

There are fewer regulations on business today than there were when Bush took over. Obama has done nothing to regulate business.....especially the financial business.

Taxes are lower today than they've ever been.

What do the Republicans say is the problem? Taxes are too high and there is too much regulation. How does that make any sense.

In 2000, we had a thriving economy, the markets were soaring, we had very low unemployment, we had a balanced budget, we were paying down the national debt, both the rich and the middle class were doing well. Why isn't anyone simply talking about reinstating the policies that were in place then? Taxes were higher. There was more regulation. It worked. Despite the fact that ten years of deregulation and tax cuts didn't work and has left us in this position, that's all the Republican Party offers as solutions. It makes no sense and neither do you.

Let me know when you come up with the regulations that Obama is killing you with.

Re: Obama looked Extremely Confident Last Night, GOP not so Much

Let me know why Apple has 45,000 employees in the United States and over 500,000 in China "producing" their products.

Let me know why our glass business loses work every single day because it is cheaper to get the products in China

Let me know why almost everything you see is "Made In China"

Can you explain that to me?

Thanks.

Like I said, I do not give a fuck if it is Bush's fault... Obama's fault... Republicans or Democrats fault.

I have told you this before, we are having to pay bullshit that we did not have to pay for a few years ago.

Re: Obama looked Extremely Confident Last Night, GOP not so Much

The Repubs are scared because the unemployment rate is falling. It is the ONLY thing that can make them win. It's really the only thing most Americans care about. Or, the main thing, in any case. If the unemployment rate drops below 8% Obama is really likely to win. If it drops below 7.5%, they might as well not even count the votes. It's at 8.5% last I heard.

The belief that the American citizens are a divided nation is utter bullshit. All Americans want the same thing. They want to be able to earn a decent living and not be blown up by some yahoo. They want their kids to be healthy and happy and safe. If you ask any American those questions, they will agree, 100%.

The disagreement is in the details, that's all. And most of that is from a lack of education, lying politicians and incompetent news outlets. The politicians and oligarch just exacerbate those details to try to pit us against each other to further their own power.
