company i am at is struggling as is all companies in mtg industry she was only here a yr and only the long timers are still around myself included at 6 yrs..

right before xmas with 2 kids ... i dont even know what to say.. i want to get out too

but the job situation sucks so bad

anyone here have any connections

my gf is very experienced at

1. collections
2 accounts recievables
3. she also has very extensive experience in high fashion modeling.. (so if anyone knows of any good agencies or open castings
4. also she studied interior design as well before she had her kids

Dude! ALL of the major modelling houses have offices here. And it is winter, so they are all in town. She should just start hitting them now. Lots of ex-models go into the behind-the-scenes part of the business.

Besides, think of the side benefit of you getting invited to all the model parties.

Bling, this definitely sucks, but look at the glass half-full. You guys live in one of the most metropolitan areas in Florida (heck, the U.S.) and jobs are plentiful compared to rural areas (like where I live) because your economic base is well-diversified. If she wants a job and has any talent, she should not be unemployed for long.

My wife recently took a $10/hour pay cut because things at the hospital are so bad....can you imagine? If you think times are rough now, 2008 is going to be a bloodbath! Have your GF try http://www.indeed.com ....it cross-references all of the job websites (Monster, Career Builder, etc.) into one site.

lots of people use it. i know our staffing dept uses it a lot for recruiting (not anything sheis qualified in though)
