It seems like the same show, only that this time the viewer see's the work that goes behind the making of the show.

Why try to change something that is not broken, No Reservations was fine the way it was.

No Rez has gotten a little too non-obnoxious for me. You can tell he is growing and maturing as a person, the more he travels and the more he sees. That is generally a good thing, but it takes away from some of the fun of the show, which is his snarkiness and bad attitude.

In one article I read a couple of weeks ago, it basically said The Layover will show you places that your average traveler can actually go and do, whereas on No Reservations, a lot of his experiences may not be as accessible to your average traveler. Something to that effect.

One of the layovers was in Singapore, he filmed around here very recently. *And No Reservations had a Singapore episode as well.
