Club Scene in 1994

Think South Beach is crazy now? Here's what the club scene was like in 1994.
Washington Avenue is getting a major renovation after decades of neglect. In the 1990s, the street was home to many of the city's most popular nightspots. This South Beach club guide was originally published in The Miami Herald on May 6, 1994.

Re: Club Scene in 1994

Fascinating read. I don't think most of those were still around by the time I was getting in on the fun (circa 1998-1999). My usual Saturday night haunts were Chaos, Living Room, Liquid, and Mission. Sundays were then spent down at Uncle Sam's trying to find whatever it was I heard the night before.

Re: Club Scene in 1994

That was the typical schedule of a club person who was into the music. Night before, go to the club. Day after, go to the local indie record shop and try to find the music.
