Fire Marshal shut down Aero Bar Closed for the weekend

Word is that everyone had to leave the club at 1:30am. I've never seen a club that was forced to empty out for fire marshal reasons. Usually clubs have to hold the door so will AB be open tonight? It's not a leap to speculate that there is a permit issue, which probably can't be resolved by tonight.

It was more like 2am.

I have actually seen clubs before emptied due to fire marshall issues. Eventually, the fire marshall just get too annoyed at trying to maintain occupancy and throw everybody out. Not saying that's what happened here, just saying that I have seen it happen.

I know what the official onsite was telling everyone, but I'll leave it to Aero Bar to give us the whole story.

Didn't the same thing happen when Mokai opened?

There were rumors that Mynt was behind Mokai's permit problems.

Just curious.

How do you spend that amount of time and money trying to open up a club and you don't get your fire permits in order???

it was a great night, had so much fun. the place is amazing, whoever designed/created it should be very proud of themselves. rudnick played a great set, everyone was bouncing around all night. and i guess the promotion was successful, because it was packed...so congrats guys, on that note. the end was abrupt, but tony made several promises i hope he plans to keep!

there were no less than 16 fucking photographers...i guess when pod leaves town, the rats come out of the woodwork (except for jipsy, of course!).

It seems a little silly to spend $2 Million and a year getting the place open only to have the place shut down after 4 hours. I also think the statement they placed on the website is lame. They make sure to tell everyone that they had a full house but offer no explanation for what happened. Are they calling the opening a succedss?

And.....What makes people think they can just go all "Wild West" when they don't have the proper permits? Did they really think they were going to get away with the illegal opening?

Hey, shit happens! Just remember, it's only 1 weekend out of the 10 years.
