Have smartphones ruined the dancefloor/concert experience?

I dont think Smartphone's have taken away from the dancefloor/concert experience but they have given the concert/dancefloor goer a reason to look at their phones more often.

I work as an IT Manager and I am in front of a computer all day and I refuse to check my smartphone on my lunch break, unless its an emergency.

I can say, I am the exception these days, I dont have a facebook, twitter, instagram, myspace, 4square. I have not let social media take over my life.

These days if your bored and want to seem important you have folks checking their smartphone's anyway. Let me give you an example, say your that guy trying to pick up chicks at a club. Well, if you have had a bad night and unable to court a female, then the next thing you do is stand around the bar, looking at your smartphone..lol

In that case I think you should cut your losses and go home, you're just taking up space that could go to a paying patron.

I'm sure you guys have seen this, but I thought you would get a kick out of it.

i dont think you'll find pyro on the dancefloor. and people really dont dance at concerts. if you are at a festival or whatever the most people do is put their hands in the air and jump up and down. so no....i dont think it has ruined it at all.
