Re: Ready. Set. Go...... We are live.............. (Pingup)
There is some confusion about pingup, so here you go, I edited this and the first post...
What is pingup?
It's a simple concept, what if you could text any business just as you do with your friends.
Imagine if you could use your phone/tablet/computer and send a text to order a pizza, order a table at LIV, set an appointment at Toni & Guy, find out the specials at Prime 112 and make a reservation.
The service is free, there are no gimmicks, groupons, marketing etc.
How does Pingup make money then?
We are rolling out an enterprise version for hotels and large chains. Example a national food eatery is going to roll our system out to all 300 locations with a centralized deployment so one location controls all the users.
Who uses it?
Pingup can be used by any type of business. Example we have every major Miami night club including; Wall, Mynt, LIV, Arkadia, Mansion, Space, The Pickle, Mokai, Nikki Beach, Dream, Go Big etc. Companies such as Sam Adams, US Army, Ferrari Dealerships, food trucks, restaurants, Miami City Commissioner, law firms, pizza places, spas, B2B companies, music festivals, hair salons, amusement parks etc.
How does a business signup?
Vist pingup.com, sign up, then search and "claim" your business. We call the business with a 4 digit verification code so no other entity can steal that business on pingup. This process takes about 3 minutes from start to finish. You can also call or email me and I will help you out or even visit your business.
Can a business set hours for the text feature?
Yes, in the settings they can set the hours they are on the system.
Can a business have their menu on the pingup app screen?
Yes, the user has 3 options; call, text or visit their website which can link directly to a menu.
I see it's only on Apple right now, we can't use it?
We have an app for Apple right now however you can use pingup from any browser on any device whether it is a tablet, smart phone or computer as it's web based. You can even forward to SMS and reply directly all the while no one ever sees your private cell number.
What about Android?
It's coming soon, but you don’t need to wait to use the service. Example LIV is all on Black Berry but they use pingup.
Can I see screen shots?
The one below is our office in Boston ordering lunch at a food truck in Boston.
