So, while this maybe a big Hoorah for David Guetta... with today's music distribution technology compared to back then... it is comparing apples to oranges because Michael Jackson's Thriller would have sold a shitload more using today's music technology.
Back then you only had FM Radio and MTV to promote music... nowadays you have several MTV's, Facebook, Google+, Pinterest, Millions of music based websites, thousands of record pools, Google, Bing, YouTube, Myspace Music, Internet Radio, etc etc promoting music.
