Valet crashes 400k in cars at Epic Hotel...

Remember in "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" when Cameron doesn't want to leave his dad's Ferrari with a valet? "What's going to happen to it?" Sloane asks. "It's in a garage." THIS could happen, as a (former?) valet at Miami's appropriately named Epic Hotel illustrates. Details are scarce, but the approximately $400,000 pileup reportedly happened when a valet drove a Maserati into -- and under -- a Jeep Grand Cherokee, which crashed into a Mini Cooper and a vintage Porsche 356. Local 10 reports that "the driver of the Maserati [came] down the garage ramp too fast, lost control and drove his luxury sports car right under the SUV." Yeah, we're guessing he didn't get a tip.

Valet attendants in Miami are rotten douchebags. They are 100% protected by all the disclaimers about damage to vehicular property that they can basically do whatever they want with your car and not have to deal with any of the consequences.

I gave my car to a valet at a building in Brickell (valet was the only option), and the idiot brought it back to me with the emergency brake up. He was struggling in 1st gear because he didn't know how to use the clutch. The car was less than a year old and the brake discs were glowing accompanied by an acrid smell. He lost his job because of that. I spoke to his manager and he was fired on the spot. I hope they sent him back to Honduras to park donkeys.

Not my problem. If he cannot drive a stickshift car, he should not have been hired as a valet attendant. Simple.

Upon further inspection what happened was the driver of the Maserati was the one at fault. Not the valet. The Maserati came down the ramp too fast and demolished the Jeep and Porsche, and itself.

Boingo Oingo has a point, Valets in South Florida are terrible....I'll walk a few blocks in the rain before I leave my car to one of these valets.

I can't remember the last time, I had to valet my car. These days they have valets everywhere, Malls, Restaurants, Stadiums, Arena's and Clubs.

I went to Bokampers in Miramar and they were offering valet service, I never gotten valet service at an Ale House..lol
