I was going to say it a lot nicer then the other guys! But you do think ever place is cursed!! That’s like the 4th place you said that about. Nothing is cursed, 98% of the time its BAD management/ownership. The other 2% is other problems (wrong spot, wrong concept, ahead of its time, behind its time, legal problems, and other shit)

In other words, business as usual in Miami.

Look....our boy, Bling is all grownsed up now. He gots himself a girly and is happy. The only thing missing in his life is a massive message-board post count. "That place is cursed" is a tried and true bump-er. You really can't blame him for going back to the well.

By the way - It's fair to point out that PW has been kicking ass. Every time I've been by there, it's been going off. So much for the curse thoery. It just shows that any location can work with a quality operator.

Other places Bling labeled as cursed?

320 (now SET)
Nerve (Soon to be AeroBar)
Amika (Inow Dream....Ok...bad example)

anyone else??

lou terminello will fix it in a heartbeat.

Its probably not in the same name. In most cases properties have their own set of corporations or LLP's filed for legal and financial purposes. I'd be very surprised if LP has leases for different properties in the same name.

You can have two venues with different names under one liquor license.

Both of them must be owned by same corporation, the names of the venues only DBA's...

I don't know the exact rules of how far apart both venues can be, but we've done it in previous occasions with places next to each other. Not that I have any involvement here but as an example: Mynt+Rockbar, Suite+Snatch, Opium+Prive.... etc...

Not quite true.......

Suite and Snatch are considered one venue. It is so because there are doors that allow patrons to move between the rooms without having to exit. One venue....two rooms with different names.

Opium and Prive are the same. They are simply two different rooms within the same complex.

Mynt and Rockbar had some issues with this in the beginning. I may be mistaken, but I think RB had to get their own license in the end.

Space and PW do not really qualify. LP ownes Space AND the building it's in. PW is a leased building. There is no opening between the two venues that could allow PW to be classified as an expansiopn of Space. PW has partners who are not involved with Space.

Re: Parkwest lying thru their teeth, here is the truth!

you are correct... rock bar did have to go in front of the planning board and get its own conditional use permit after the city was going to shut both down for operating on one.... that is sobe though, not sure of the laws/rules downtown but seems like quite a perdicament with LP. - should be interesting

Of course it's going to be fine. It's fucking LP!! He'll make it fine because that's what makes him the GEKKO.

Truth is that he really is my idol. The guy has balls bigger than anyone in the business and does not care who sees them. I am on the long list of people in this market who had to join him because I could never beat him. He is the man.
