no disrespect to girls BUT!....if I had an event like that...I wouldn't feel guilty charging women for entrance....after all most don't feel guilty accepting drinks as a whole.[independent women, PLEASE do not chime in].

Of course the "local" and industry girls...would get a pass somewhat but sometimes in Florida it looks like EVERYONE is a local or industry girl...?

If girls don't pay...and they don't drink...is their sole purpose to attract the "dumb" Neanderthals who do? Kinda makes the party lop sided IMHO.

my $0.02

what say you?

Right, that's a key difference between the solidarity in the Vegas locals scene versus the Miami locals scene. The difference is that in Vegas, the locals are severely outnumbered. Not many people live there compared to the tourist volume, they have to stick together.

In Miami on the other hand, there are more locals than tourists. In Miami the special treatment goes to nightlife industry 'locals' and not all people who are local to Miami.

I had a dream last night I was piloting a plane
and all the passengers were drunk and insane.

This might be true but....wasn't Miami supposed to be this hot tourist destination?

And while we're on the subject...it's a conglomeration of the clubs together that put themselves in the predicament that they found themselves in way before the collapse of the economy.

One club was offering good service, talent, environment, etc. and other clubs who were suffering decided to "instead of improve whatever they were doing" give everything away for FREE.

Well that worked great in the beginning...the lazy ass owners, managers, and the sort were able to see short term results, so what did everyone else do?

They all jumped on the band wagon and are now complaining that the only people making money are the promoters.

Get off your lazy asses and INNOVATE.

If you build it "right"...they will definitely come.

for EDM djs, Wet Republic is the place to be. the Rehab crowd has gone downhill....
gone downhill as in juiced guido fist pumping or balloon filled bimbettes?
yep. though its always been like that....but even worse now. the slightly more upscale crowd is primarily at Wet Republic on sundays, Bare at the Mirage and Tao Beach.
sorry but this is not true, it was a great spot all summer with long lines to get in like always. we will have a page for this pool next summer. if u want any help please ask.

I hit up Wet Republic not too long ago and it was rockin. Definitely held its own against Rehab. Granted Rehab is way crazier and has more people but Wet Republic has its own vibe that is different but arguably just as good. Less of a trashy crowd too it seems.
