Clubbing suggestions for Thur night 02/17

Hey Pod,

Anything going one where someone like Ramon would want to attend? or a locals place with good music?

Going to be in the area and planning on going out that night with my wife; we have not been out in a while.

Thanks

See, that's the one thing Vegas lacks, is a strong local's presence. There's a few "industry" nights but it's just the same people you see working in clubs doing what the people who go to clubs do. Musically, it's a desert. There's maybe one or two good local house DJs.

If anything, I would hit the Downtown area and stop in at Griffin Lounge or Vanguard. That's about as close as it gets to what you'd be looking for.

Thanks for the info. But we just ended up getting drunk at the casino and the bars. The Revolution Bar at the Mirage is cool with decent music and a couple of the bartenders are really hot.

Sadly, that's about the long and short of it. There's zip to do unless you're into gaming or open format music. Wet Republic books house DJs and so does Marquee, but if you want anything off the radar, it's a tough sell. To be honest, when I'm not traveling, I drive to LA to have any real fun.

I'm headed to Vegas in May for a bachelor party. If we buy presales for Marquee, will it still be hard to get into? I don't want to buy tickets and then not get in.

We're staying at Encore and we're looking to do Wet Republic and Encore Beach Club. Not sure what else to do as this is my first Vegas trip. Strip clubs of course. We'll be there Friday through a Monday.

Sven Vath is at the Music Box the Monday after Coachella (April 18th). Should be very good.
